RS4K covers the same core topics found in state and national science standards but in a different sequence, atoms first rather than properties first. Students learn the same material, often at greater depth, with a more coherent understanding of how it all connects. NGSS alignment documentation is available on request.
Most families start with Book 1 for elementary or Book 5 for middle school. Match the reading ability of the student. If you start with Books 2, 3, or 6, always begin by reviewing the fundamental understanding for your scholar: atoms, molecules, and chemical reactions.
