Grade 1 Teaching Dashboard
The Grade 1 Digital Teaching Dashboard gives you everything you need to teach first-grade science from the atomic level up: lesson plans, student printables, and curated digital readers, organized by unit and ready the moment you subscribe.
What your child studies this year
What's inside the dashboard
- Lesson plans for all 28 lessons. Each plan includes teacher notes that flag where atomic language matters most, so you use the correct framing without needing a science background.
- Student printables for every lesson. Print-ready and formatted. No prep, no layout work.
- 24 curated digital readers. Organized by unit and subject area. Readers are selected to reinforce the atomic foundation introduced in each lesson.
- Atoms First language notes in every unit. A short note at the top of each unit flags common misconceptions and provides the accurate atomic framing to use instead.
- Pre and post unit assessments. Quick checks to see where your student started and where they landed.
- 18-month access. Enough time to teach at your pace, revisit units, and carry the dashboard into a second year if needed.
Most Grade 1 science programs describe sound as something that "travels through air." RS4K explains what's actually happening: sound is atoms vibrating and transferring energy through atom collisions. The mechanism is correct from the very first lesson. No retrofitting required later.
24 digital readers included
Readers are organized by unit and tagged by subject. They are selected to build background knowledge alongside the lesson content, not as separate reading practice.
Hard to find and non-household experiment items, pre-assembled per grade. No supply hunting. No guessing quantities.
Where this fits in the RS4K sequence
The Grade 1 Dashboard is the second year of the Atoms First K–2 sequence. Students come from Grade K with the atomic foundation already in place, and continue directly into the Grade 2 Dashboard after completing Grade 1. The full K–2 sequence leads into RS4K Books 1 through 7, designed for grades 2 and up.
Who this is for
- Homeschool families teaching first-grade science
- Parents who want science built correctly from the start, not corrected later
- Co-op teachers looking for a structured, open-and-go system
- Parents without a science background: the lesson plans do the work
