Creative Solutions Online Course
Creative Solutions teaches the craft of creative problem solving for students aged 10 and up. This course focuses on identifying gaps, issues, or things that need fixing and finding innovative ways to address them. Students will learn to see problems in their world and the steps for thinking through these problems to develop possible solutions.

Course Structure:
- Weekly Meetings: We meet once a week on Zoom for interactive sessions.
- Synchronous Classes: Classes meet Monday mornings at 10 AM MST.
- Recorded Sessions: All sessions will be recorded and available at the end of the day.
- Office Hours: Weekly office hours will be held for additional questions and guidance.
- Assignments: Students will receive a weekly assignment to reinforce learning.
- Materials Required: A notebook for taking notes and journaling problems.
Course Schedule:
- Start Date: Classes start on Monday, September 9th, the Monday after Labor Day.
- Duration: We will meet for 10 weeks.
- Capstone Project: Presentations will be held during the last week, from November 18-22.
Instructor Bio:
This course is taught by Dr. Woodbury, who has been teaching students to creatively problem solve for over 20 years. Dr. Woodbury holds a PhD in chemistry and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instructional Design with a STEM focus. She is also the author of the Real Science-4-Kids series and the RATATAZ STEM program for schools.

- Critically evaluate which problems to tackle
- Develop skills needed to address the problem
- Create a solution to the problem
- Learn how to submit a solution to a national competition
